Let it snow

It's been awhile since I've posted. For one, I've been EXTREMELY busy with the opening of the shop; and two, I forgot my blog account password and had to wait to be able to reset it. So here is what you've missed out on...

First, I want to thank everyone for all of your support while we opened the shop. It's good to know there are people who are on your side. To everyone who sent a plant, they all look gorgeous, and I'm trying my hardest not to use my "black thumb" (as opposed to greeen) on them. Here is a picture of the lovely apple blossom that my parents sent.

And here are a few of the shop...

And last but not least, a few pictures of the 14 inches of snow we received the first weekend in December! These were taken from the shop, and the drifts in the second and third pictures were right outside my shop and came up to my knees. It was 60 degrees this morning, so most of the snow has now melted.

I've got lots of things going on, so I'll be posting again soon!

Shop update

Well, the store is coming along slowly but surely. The carpet is in, and I am starting to drag all of my fabric out of boxes and get prices on it. Byron is going to start putting up shelving tonight while I'm at quilt guild. My project for today is to put together the floor fabric displays that require quite a bit of assembly. I have a feeling it's going to be like putting together some of the cheap bookcases from Walmart, except much worse. It's probably a good thing I'm doing this little project by myself instead of involving Byron. I'm lucky all of this remodeling hasn't ended in divorce already... I'd better not press my luck by involving him in display rack assembly ("It says attach the front side of part B to the edge of part F using fastener 3...no that's the back... here let me do it... fine, screw it up! You're such an idiot!".... what a nightmare).

Here are few pictures of the store and some pictures that just makes me smile... enjoy!
